Absolute: SmartScanEnergy – Wireless Power Consumption Monitoring System

The "Absolute: SmartScanEnergy" integrated hardware and software suite is designed to collect, process, and visualize power consumption data at industrial and commercial facilities. Equipment installation is performed without halting production or disconnecting active power lines.

System capabilities

The suite provides multi-level energy consumption monitoring—across zones, lines, and individual units of equipment. The system tracks key power grid parameters, including current, voltage, power, and power quality.

Data is visualized in an easy-to-analyze format: tables, dynamic charts, and interactive network diagrams displaying the current status of facilities. Anomalous operating modes are automatically recorded, such as peak loads, voltage dips, phase imbalances, and other deviations.

If parameters exceed predefined thresholds, the system sends instant alerts via the web interface, email, SMS, or Telegram. It also features customizable reporting for selected periods, including data sorting, period comparison, and data export.

System Components and How It Works

The "Absolute: SmartScanEnergy" suite consists of SmartScanEnergy wireless current sensors, the SmartGrid monitoring and control unit, and the "Absolute: SmartCloud" software platform.

How the Absolute: SmartScanEnergy system works

SmartScanEnergy wireless current sensors are installed directly on the wires of the monitored line without breaking the circuit or removing insulation. They measure the current at preset intervals and transmit the values to the SmartGrid controller.

  • Power supply: Not required (powered by the electromagnetic field of the conductor).
  • Data transmission technology: Bluetooth.
  • Transmission interval: From 15 seconds.
  • Transmission range: Up to 8 meters.

The SmartGrid controller polls the connected sensors, performs comprehensive measurements of grid parameters, and sends the acquired data to the "Absolute: SmartCloud" platform.

  • Number of connected sensors: Unlimited.
  • Flexible connectivity: Connects to the platform via Wi-Fi, Ethernet, 2G/3G/4G/NB-IoT, or LoRaWAN (optional).
  • Local analytics: Processes data in real-time directly on the device.
  • Integration: Provides an API for seamless connection to third-party systems.

The "Absolute: SmartCloud" software platform displays data in the monitoring center interface. Users can remotely manage connected devices, adjust settings, and receive notifications when parameters exceed specified thresholds.
