NEWLAND technology took part in the 4th International IT-Akademgrad forum artificial intelligence in Belarus, held on October 13–14 in Minsk. The event brought together experts from the scientific community, business, and the public sector to discuss the development and practical applications of AI technologies.

The centerpiece of our company’s exhibit was the HTN Video One product — an intelligent video compression system. Its unique algorithm, based on deep neural network learning (Deep Learning), is designed to significantly reduce video file sizes in real time while maintaining image quality. A distinctive feature of the system is its ability to automatically analyze and adjust compression parameters depending on the type of video content.

A special achievement for the company was its success in the open competition Leaders of artificial intelligence of Belarus. NEWLAND technology’s development — the Mobile controller application — took second place in the category AI Project – Leader of artificial intelligence of Belarus. The Mobile Controller app enables the digitalization of utility metering inspections, significantly increasing their speed and accuracy. The application provides tools for automatic recognition of meter readings from photos, route planning, navigation, and monitoring of controller performance.

Participation in the forum allowed NEWLAND technology not only to demonstrate its expertise but also to discuss current trends and prospects for the AI market’s development with industry peers. Company director Semen Nechaev took part in a meeting of the Expert council of the interparliamentary assembly of cis member states and the regional commonwealth in the field of communications, as well as in a round table on AI regulation.
